CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT KRIS J. NEROS

Chief Master Sergeant Kris J. Neros serves as the Command Chief for the 139th Airlift Wing, Missouri Air National Guard, Rosecrans ANGB, St. Joseph, Missouri.  He is responsible to the 139th AW Wing commander on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale and proper utilization and development of the wing's enlisted personnel. He is the functional manager for group superintendents and first sergeants and an advisor to the Junior Enlisted, Senior Enlisted, First Sergeant, and Chief's Councils.   

CMSgt Neros enlisted into the North Dakota Air National Guard in March of 1984 and became a Fuels Management Apprentice upon graduation from technical training at Chanute AFB in Sep 1984. In Sep 1995, he joined the 139th AW Missouri ANG where he has served as a Fuels Management Technician 1991, Wing Emergency Manager 2011 and the Force Support Squadron Superintendent 2016. 

Chief Neros assignments include support of many State Emergency Duty operations as the 139th AW Emergency Operations Center Manager, Federal Operations, where he has deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism and served as a logistics controller in the Combined Air Operations Center, Saudi Arabia.  Chief Neros has also participated as a member of the Air Mobility Command Inspector General team on multiple inspections/evaluations, and has developed and administered emergency response training for Panamanian National Forces as part of Missouri’s State Partnership Program.
