139th Airlift Wing executes 41-hour sortie

Airmen assigned to the 139th Airlift Wing, Missouri Air National Guard, refuel a C-130H Hercules aircraft on Feb. 14, 2024, at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, St. Joseph, Missouri. Aircrews conducted a 41-hour sortie in which the aircraft engines ran continuously for 45 hours and the aircraft was refueled three times. This type of training enhances the wing’s warfighting capability by pushing the limits of the aircraft and personnel. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Michael Crane)
