Wing opens new security forces building

The 139th Airlift Wing hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of its new security forces building at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, St. Joseph, Mo., Dec. 10, 2015.

U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Stephen L. Danner, adjutant general of the Missouri National Guard and Bill Falkner, the mayor of St. Joseph, attended the ceremony.

The building is 6,000 square feet and cost $1.9 million. It will be used by the 139th Security Forces Squadron which is responsible for protecting the wing's personnel and property.

Construction started in November last year.
