JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Missouri Air National Guard's 139th Airlift Wing, in coordination with the City of St. Joseph and Buchanan County, is pleased to announce the Sound of Speed Air Show and Open House will return to Rosecrans Memorial Airport on August 27 and 28, 2016. As in the past, this event will include military, warbird, and civilian flying acts, static displays, parachute jump teams, and much more. This event is meant to showcase the presence and capabilities of the Missouri Air and Army National Guard, as well as the local community. At this time, there is no official announcement of the featured performances. The unit operates the C-130H Hercules cargo aircraft and has a dual mission to the state of Missouri and the federal government.
