Tueber assumes command of AATTC Published Jan. 29, 2010 By Maj. Brian Bowman 139AW St. Joseph, Mo. -- Col. Vincent Tueber assumed command of the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center during a ceremony Nov. 13 at Rosecrans. Tueber, who had served as the AATTC's vice commander since 2008, succeeds Col. Mike McEnulty, who assumed command of the 139th Airlift Wing. The AATTC is a unique training center providing instruction to aircrews from the U.S. and allied nation air forces. Tueber was a student at the training center in 1999. "I was truly impressed with the amount of knowledge instructors had, their professionalism and their passion," the new commander said. "Now, I still see the passion, motivation and professionalism." Everything learned as a student at the school kept the colonel going. "I tell my staff that if they want to take care of me (then) take care of the students," Teuber said. "We're here to work for the students." Tueber, a Riverhead, N.Y., native, was commissioned in 1984 after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. After commissioning, Tueber completed Undergraduate Navigator Training at Mather AFB, Calif., in 1985. Tueber is the second Air Force Reservist command the AATTC in its 26-year history.
