JOSEPH, Mo. -- The 139th Airlift Wing's Public Affairs Office put itself squarely in the forefront as one of the best in Air National Guard 2012 after winning several awards in the ANG's annual Public Affairs Media Contest. The 139th PA office placed first in the category for best web site and Outstanding Initiative in New Media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.). Additionally, PA NCO Tech. Sgt. Michael Crane placed first in the Graphics Animation category and second in Video Documentary (Combat and Noncombat). "I wish to thank the PA team and Tech. Sgt. Crane on their accolades," said 139th Airlift Wing commander Col. Mike Pankau. "There really is nothing better than to be recognized by your peers for a job well done, and often a good job goes unnoticed." "PA has made a number of improvements over the past several years here and it is great that it is noticed outside of our base," Pankau said.
