ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center (AATTC) hosted its 35th Annual Tactics and Intelligence Symposium this week here at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base. This year’s theme was “Joint Warfare: Combined Integrations for Tomorrow’s Conflict”.
Over 260 tactics and intelligence professionals and industry partners attended the symposium. Together, they analyzed potential challenges in all phases of a joint operation including what our advisories are doing and how that impacts our current operations.
“We want to make sure one person’s great idea doesn’t stay in one part of the states, [instead] it moves throughout the community and we can integrate with each other to become more effective and efficient,” says Col. Timothy P. Murphy, commandant of the AATTC. “We are always looking for ways to improve our efficiency and survivability of the aircrew, the aircraft and the personnel on the ground we are trying to support.”
Networking is always a huge component to this symposium. This year 27 industry partners and three allied nations were in attendance along with 179 U.S. military personnel from Air Mobility Command, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army.
The symposium attendees compile their findings and brief key leadership from Air Mobility Command and the Air National Guard with ways to work with industry for advancements or taking a closer look at tactics and starting a Tactics Improvement Proposal (TIPS) for the year ahead.
