139th Airlift Wing approaches annual Combined Federal Campaign Goal Published Nov. 15, 2016 By Tech. Sgt. Theo Ramsey 139th Airlift Wing ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The 139th Airlift Wing (AW) is closing in on their annual workplace charity campaign goal for 2016 of $40,000, working with the local United Way and other local federal agencies under the umbrella of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). "The 139th has raised $22,045 in 2016," said Master Sgt. Tia Farley, a 139th AW CFC Loan Executive. Within the 139th AW overall contribution goal, the Wing has a $28,000 contribution goal that will go to United Way organizations, of which more than $21,000 has been raised. 139th AW members may pledge to the CFC until December 25, 2016. According to the CFC website, the CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity program, with almost 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and overseas raising millions of dollars each year. The CFC is also known to be the most inclusive workplace giving campaign in the world with the number of participating charities estimated at over 20,000 nonprofit charitable organizations worldwide.
