Spotlight on Airman: Chief Master Sgt. David Schultz

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. --  With over two decades of military service, Chief Master Sgt. David Schultz, 139th Operations Group superintendent, was administered the oath of enlistment one more time.

Schultz's brother-in-law, Col. Todd Mitton, Missouri National Guard A-3 director of operations, swore his brother-in-law in for his final time Jan. 28, 2016 at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base.

"I think there are several reasons that have kept me in the Guard for over 28 years...because it was close to home and the opportunities that I have been given in the Guard to participate in several different operations," Schultz said of the fact that he dedicated his entire military career to one wing.

The chief's career in a flying squadron has taken him to every state in the U.S. and many countries around the globe.  Highlights include serving in Operations Desert Shield, Storm, Joint Endeavor, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.

"I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most interesting people in the world," he said. "It is a great opportunity to serve my country, get paid, and great college benefits."
