ROSECRANS AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Mo. -- The 139th recruiting team received a trailer last month to help with recruiting efforts in the area. The recruiters plan to take the trailer to schools, sporting events, parades and more to increase marketing and branding of the 139th Airlift Wing.
Master Sgt. Fred Osborn, 139th recruiter, says their objective is to reach 110 percent staffing.
“Now with this trailer, we’re going to make it happen,” he said.
The trailer features a billboard, public address system, stage and a built-in generator. The recruiting office plans to add more features such as interactive TVs, video game consoles, snack bar and more.
Their objective is to make the trailer interactive and engaging during events to grab the attention of younger crowds and educate the community about the wing. Tech Sgt. Jason Jones, 139th recruiter, says they need to spread the word about the Air Guard and the 139th.
“We have a big community branding in St. Joe, but not everyone knows the Air Guard is an option,” he said.
The recruiters plan to use the trailer in the upcoming Apple Blossom Parade.
