Congratulations are in order for Staff Sgt. Krystalyn Davis as she was recently awarded the Top Missouri Air National Guard Recruiter award for her recruiting work at the 139th Airlift Wing. In the state of Missouri, she competed against seven other Air National Guard recruiters.

Prior to becoming the state’s top recruiter, Davis was a traditional guardsman assigned to the 139th Maintenance Squadron with the command support staff for seven and a half years. While in this role, she enjoyed reaching out and recruiting people to join the unit. According to Davis, “I can’t imagine my life without the 139th, and I want others to know what we have to offer.” In 2017 she transferred to the recruiting office as an administrative assistant, and in 2018 she was hired as a full-time recruiter.

Davis wants recruiters to remember to take care of their applicants, not just before they are members, but after they are as well. "They are the ones who tell their family and friends about the unit, and when you take care of them, they will refer people to you."
